Ubisoft Partners with SpectreVision to Create VR Content

With the Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and other virtual reality headsets poised to roll out in the near future, Ubisoft has some big plans for the VR space – the Jack the Ripper trailer and previously announced Eagle Flight were just the beginning. Ubisoft is now partnering with SpectreVision, the production company behind such films as A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, to create original virtual reality content.

Founded by Elijah Wood, Daniel Noah and Josh C. Waller, SpectreVision focuses largely on horror movies, and will be working with Ubisoft’s FunHouse Studio in Montreal.

“Their expertise in the horror film genre is exciting for us,” says Patrick Plourde, Vice President of Ubisoft Montreal. “We’re looking forward to a collaboration that will ultimately offer fans an unforgettable virtual reality experience.”
