Hey, what's this I hear about the Vita version having fewer levels? I thought the Vita version of Origins was the best and I pre-ordered Legends because of that. Are you guys going to patch the levels back in or should I look to it on another console instead?
  2. Monty on September 3, 2013
We just need someone at Ubisoft to say what happened with the levels. This isn't as bad as Aliens: Colonial Marines, but lying in a trailer is just wrong.
  3. baconcow on September 4, 2013
Vita version does not have the complete Raymans Legends content, as stated in the Ubisoft press release. Pretty weak and deceiving of Ubisoft to do so. Would be nice to see a response from Ubisoft regarding a patch. Otherwise, my two unopened Vita pre-ordered are heading back to Best Buy.

Thanks so much for you passion about this game. I'm currently playing the Vita version and loving it. That said, I know some of you have questions about the Vita version, so here's what's going on: Due to a longer development time than expected, we couldn’t initially include the Invasion Mode – essentially, a second take on existing Rayman Legends maps – in the Vita version of the game. However, we can confirm that the Invasion Mode will be added via a free patch, at a later date. With more than 100 levels, two-player local co-op (through wifi ad hoc), online challenges, Kung-Foot mini-game, five exclusive touch challenges developed specifically for the Vita and two exclusive costumes, Rayman Legends already includes a lot for customers to love, and features the same outstanding graphics and gameplay design as the home console versions.

Great News!! just recently got a vita and was really looking forward to this game with this news on the updates, I am now more excited. Thanks for letting us (fans) know.
    • Andrew on September 4, 2013
It's great that you're porting the levels on there, but since the Vita version will have Online Coop, will that come to the PC/Console versions too?
    • Jared on September 4, 2013
Uh... where exactly is the "Online coop"? All I see is Ad-Hoc and LAN play, both requiring you to be in the same room. PLEASE correct me, as I'd love to be able to play with my buddy in another state.
      • Gary Steinman | Communications Manager Author on September 5, 2013
Hi Jared, my apologies, but in our desire to update you all as soon as possible, we jumbled the wording ever so slightly. The challenges are "online" and the co-op is for two-players locally through wifi ad hoc. Sorry for the confusion!
      • rayman_50 on September 15, 2013
        yeah the game isn't online
    • Marcos on September 7, 2013
You know that's no how it's been portrayed by you guys. Online coop is non existent. I just bought two copies and me and my friend can't play. I like the game some but without the online it's just not that great. And the touchscreen gameplay is horrible. I'm VERY disappointed. I bought origins for my PS Vita, PS3 and my Xbox 360 but this seems only to be good for the WiiU. And I don't own that system. VERY disappointed.

Hey there Gary, do you know if the patch will be included in the retail version in the future?
    • Jason on September 4, 2013
Wow I am impressed how Ubisoft responded and solved the issue so quickly. That's what I expected from you guys !!!Thank you so much. Would you care to give us some time-frame on the patch release ?
  6. Gary Steinman | Communications Manager Author on September 4, 2013
Thanks for the follow-up questions. Right now this is the info we have, but as soon as we have more I promise we'll update you. But -- and I know I work here and all -- the Vita version is really amazing. It's what I'm playing right now, and I'm loving it.

Great news, Gary. Thanks for the update, and I'm glad to hear the content is still coming.

Is there some trick to getting the platinum trophy without replaying levels hundreds of times or are we really expected to keep playing online challenges for months?
  10. ALEX on September 4, 2013
Thanks for responding on the 'missing levels on the VITA' matter!, I'm glad they'll be added for free! thanks a lot guys, it's a great game btw, I already have the Wii U version and I'm planning on getting the VITA version too, A SURE BUY FOR ME!

I noticed on the PS Vita that on Murfy levels are mandatory. Is it possible in future patches that you can play as a character OR Murfy in those levels, similar to PS3/Xbox 360 versions of the game?
  14. FunkyTable on September 5, 2013
I have a question regarding the Murphy levels for the Vita version. For the upcoming patch, would you guys please consider allowing the option for the player to control Rayman/Globox/Teensy/Barbara and control Murphy either through the touchscreen or the "O" button? The "O" button is what's available in the PS3 version, and just allowing the player to switch to that would be excellent, but allowing the player full control of Globox and touch control of Murphy would be even better.Since I found out this game would launch on Vita, I have been excited about playing this game with one of my two children in my lap, them controlling Murphy and I controlling Rayman. I was very sad to learn that this is not an option in the Vita version.Would you please make this alternate control scheme an option for the upcoming patch? Please respond. Thanks.
  15. This Guy on September 13, 2013
Gary--is there any chance the Vita version ever gets the PS3 button-press Murfy controls via patch? The touch and automated "other guy" makes collecting items so much harder for us completionists out there.
  16. rayman_50 on September 15, 2013
i hope they make rayman legands online so it could be super fun
  17. xDeadpoolx on September 30, 2013
Hello, can you tell us if an update will happen on Xbox version of Rayman Legends to make it more accessible the level 11? Actually, this "last" success is just crazy...
  18. ajeruso on October 2, 2013
when invasion mode rayman legends ps vita???
  19. Chris on October 6, 2013
When you patch the game on Vita, to include the invasion levels, please, I beg of you,GIVE US THE OPTION OF PS3-STYLE CONTROL ON THE VITA.I do not believe that control of the character should be taken away from the player in a platforming game. It defeats the purpose of a platforming game and ruins the experience. It can't be too difficult to just add in the option and give us back our control :/
    • Chris on October 6, 2013
Actually, I apologise for that, that sounded rude of me. I simply believe that, in buying a platforming game, we should have the opportunity to play the amazing levels of Rayman Legends ourselves, without being restricted to helping out an AI who plays them for us. Giving us the option of mapping to a button(s) the control for Murphy would allow players to fit their style of play. I know for a fact this forced method of control is putting many people off from buying the Vita version, and it would be beneficial for the sales of the port if this method of control was made possible in the upcoming patch. Thank you.
  20. Vallaurian on October 13, 2013
Can you advise when the invasion levels will be added by update please?
  21. alex on October 15, 2013
Whee are the promised invasion levels, Ubisoft? There is still no patch for them.
  22. Neal on November 8, 2013
I'm playing through Legends now on the Vita and I must say the Murphy levels are extremely frustrating. I end up having to play them 5 or 6 times because the CPU controlled character consistently dies, makes poor choices, or refuses to seek out hidden areas. This game would be infinitely more fun if the CPU controlled Murphy or there was an option to not play as Murphy. Such a shame since Rayman Origins was my favorite game last year and I had high hopes for the sequel.
  23. Rhomiel on November 29, 2013
Hi I just wanted to know if any of you played the multiplayer on the vita and if so is the 2nd player only controlling murphy or can we play normal coop cause in the image from the patch we see 2 players on the screen. Thanks
  24. Giaky on January 17, 2014
There isn't a story in the game, and for this reason I prefer Rayman Origins. Anyway it's very beautiful

Have something to say?
