We wanted to explore how our hero will eventually become a Prince through an epic journey. At the start of the game, the Prince is an adventurer, a drifter wandering from adventure to adventure with no real ties, always living in the present. To him, the past is gone and he carries no burdens, the future is yet to come and it will take care of itself. All that matters now is the thrill of the moment, the next heartbeat, the next corner, jump and sensation. We drew our inspiration from adventurers like Sinbad in the Arabian Nights, Han Solo from Star Wars and Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings.
Like all epic heroes, what the Prince wears says a lot about who he is and what he has been through. He has elements of luxury in his dress – the red and blue cloth that he uses as a turban and scarf that would be available only to those with money – however he is also perfectly capable of putting functionality before style by wearing plain leather leggings to help protect his legs rather then dazzle the eye.
Our Prince has a lot of new abilities in both combat and acrobatics. He is taking the agility of the previous Prince to new heights of deadly acrobatic artistry. His range of acrobatic skills is wider than ever, allowing him to defy the laws of gravity with style and velocity. The bounty from the Prince’s earlier adventures will open new dimensions in his acrobatics and combat style by way of a gauntlet. By using this gauntlet, you will be able to slide down very high walls and cliffs and much more.
Combat has evolved since the last games as our ambition is to add the reactiveness and strategy typically found in fighting games into our new combat system. We have studied numerous fight games and learned what worked/what didn’t work, and implemented the most absorbing moments into our gameplay. We want the dramatic attack sequences of the Prince to be complemented by the use of camera, sound and visual effects to create an overall combat sequence whose intensity rivals the most spectacular choreographed fight scenes in cinema. In addition, the enemies you fight will be more cunning then any ever seen in a Prince of Persia game before, strategically using the environment to gain the upper hand, forcing the player to use quick thinking and reflexes to succeed.

Wow, I love how this game's coming on!
I'm gunna miss the old Prince, but this guy looks more hardcore in looks. He reminds me of a ninja for some strange reason.
The gaunlet looks pretty cool, and it's a nice addition to the look.
You say the Prince is going to be more acrobatic than ever, can't wait to see how! =D

The Prince of Persia series has always been great at story telling, since the original trilogy to the Sands of Time trilogy (which was amazing btw). It was smart of u guys to create two possible endings (one original after killing the Dahaka leading to T2T and killing the Visir, and the other one from WW, if u don't get the water sword. A possible shot to create spinoff from there to try to continue the series???) Aanywaaayz, this one looks deadly. Can't wait for it. Love the new mechanics.

I'm upset that you have completely changed the Prince. The Prince of Persia series has been my favorite sence I got the first one. I love the dark look and the toll that the experience of the Sands of Time have taken on him, and to see the him turn into just another anime face is wrong. Shame on you!!
Long time POP fan, loved Sands of Time and the 2 sequels, and I'm 100% on board for this new prince and new tale... my only reservation is what I've heard of the voice acting. It sounds like the Prince has ZERO accent, i.e. he sounds like a White American Male. Which would be fine, if 2 out of 3 of those weren't false. Why put so much effort into creating an alien environment that transports the player to another reality, and then give your lead character a voice that sounds like your roommate's? I seriously don't get it?

For all of you retards out there, who think the game will suck, I'll give a helpful advise: GET OVER IT!. So what if the Prince is new and the sands are gone, you still got a great new story, awesome characters with amazing skills and what's most important - a non-linear game, when it comes to travelling through that new world. I mean, let's get real, in the previous trilogy, when the Prince had to go somewhere, it was kinda obvious that he'd have, for example, climb a wall, grab a ledge, jump over a pit with spikes, swing on a pole, etc. Plus, if there's any basic understandment of the plot in The Sands of Time trilogy, you'd probably be able to figure, that the story is OVER! NO MORE SANDS OF TIME! At least not in this game! I mean, come on, Kaileena herself said, that she will go to another world and since she was the last remaining of the sands, well, how much is 2+2? Unless this story is set in said another world and someway, somehow the writers find a way to add the Sands of Time in the overall story AND within the laws of REASON, I figure, the sands are gone. Leave them to fan fiction - the only way to destroy a good story, while quenching fans' thirst for more of their hero's adventures. So please, let the old Prince live his life with Farah, and give the new guy a chance. A sequel can be good without the original main character; just look at Friday the 13th Part 2... google it, you'll see I'm right. A that's even not a sequel! It's a whole new story, you should be glad instead of trash-talk about it. And then again, if you don't like it, don't play it. Lock yourselfs in your basements and cry if you want to, but the sands aren't coming back. And still you'll wonder what the new game's gonna be like. Only thing I kinda don't like about it is the fact, that the new dude is as nameless as the old one and that the game is titled as just "Prince of Persia", but I am willing to accept it. Why can't you?

It says that the Prince will become a Prince during his adventures. It would be really awesome if the new Prince is connected to the old Prince in some distant way or there would be like a huge plot twist. Like somehow he's connected. The young Prince from Sands of Time was the best.
But the whole series is amazing. I love how the story is soo.. proper. Like pardoxial yet understood. It's my favorite game series and I actually DREAMED about the "Some people think time is like a river , that flows swift and sure in one direction. But I have seen the face of time, and I can tell you..they are wrong." SRY for long comment and love all you fan people and the developers. BYEEEE

All I want is when I start to play is havin' a feeling that I am playin' Prince of Persia not another game just like I did with the sands of time trilogy I've played and loved the PoP franchise for many years and what I see now from what this new Prince that is bringin' to the franchise a whole new things just like The wind waker did in Zelda. To be honest the Wind Waker was huge but incomplete so I wish this new Prince of Persia will be huge and of course complete hehe then I will love it toooo much .

x-box360 and on pc.i get the point of putting it on them consoles so people will buy them.and i am on of those how might get the ps3.but smart people would say im spending 300£,$ or eruo on a ps3 for 1 or 2 games. most people would say no im knot getting the ps3 just because of one game.about 90% of the world would have a ps2 and 10% whould have a ps3 about another 20% would buy a ps3 because of the game which makes 30% but that meen more people have a ps2.so if you brought all the knew games like assassians creed and prince of persia on ps2 you would make more money.
