Why We Shot the Ghost Recon Phantoms Web Series

Before you watch the videos below, there’s something you should know: These videos were originally not shot to be published externally.

We shot them for internal purposes, because we felt that after such a long period of closed and open beta, it was time for the staff to take a moment to reflect on the past months and share their adventure with the rest of the Ubisoft network. We had to talk about this journey, what we did wrong, what we have learned, and to keep records of the passion and dedication the team has poured into the making of Ghost Recon Phantoms.

The majority of the speakers you are going to see have worked on the project for years. Some of them were part of the first batch of Ubisoft Singapore employees. But you will also see some of our colleagues based in Europe and the United States. It was great to have them on board for this web series as well!

At the cusp of the official launch on Steam, we thought it might be a good idea to also share these videos with you, so you have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Ghost Recon Phantoms.

We will release 8 videos in total, but here are the first two episodes. In the first episode, we recall the early days of the project, and how we inherited from the Ghost Recon Brand.

 
The second episode is about the challenges of the closed beta period, and the presentation of the teams involved on the game.
