Far Cry 4 – Exploring the Regions of Kyrat
It’s always a good idea to be prepared, especially if everything in the world seems like it’s out to get you. What’s the best way to get started (besides stocking up on sweet weapons like the auto-crossbow or the explosive mortars)? Knowing the area around you. This new video series introduces you to the different regions of Far Cry 4’s Kyrat, along with their inhabitants, both human and animal. Learn Kyrat’s secrets and figure out how to conquer it. One tip from us? Never let your guard down. You never know who – or what – might be hunting you.
Each of the three major biomes – the Lowlands, Midlands and Himalayas – will be vastly different, both in looks and gameplay. The team had to consider the types of navigation present in each area – is it better for swimming or climbing? – as well as the animals present and the challenges in region. But the team also fought to ensure no matter where you are, you can play the way you want. This two-part series will take you from the Lowlands’ small villages and marshlands, to the drug fields and vicious bloodsports of the Midlands, all the way up to the icy dangers and frozen prisons of the Himalayas.
