Far Cry 4 – Animating the Open World

What goes into building a systemic open world? How do programmers and animators ensure every second in Far Cry 4’s Kyrat is a new story? In this exclusive video interview, Far Cry 4 Animation Director Scott Mitchell discusses the challenges of animating a massive open world like Kyrat, as well as how the role of an animator has changed over the years.

 
Far Cry 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Valley of the Yetis DLC campaign will be available on March 10. Those who grabbed the Season Pass will get access to Valley of the Yetis as well as all the already released DLC like the Overrun PvP mode, Escape from Durgesh Prison and the Hurk Deluxe Pack.
