Steep Free Weekend: Spend a couple of days on the slopes for free!

Update: Download links! PlayStation 4, UPlay PC (requires UPlay). Xbox One coming shortly.

Yes, everyone knows that there ain’t no weekend like a Steep Free Weekend cause a Steep Free Weekend don’t stop (till Monday) And this weekend is a Steep Free Weekend.

If you’ve got a PS4, Xbox One or PC and Internet access, for two (almost three!) days you’ll be able to download and play Steep for nothing, free, gratuit, frei, gratuito. You’ll have access to the full DICE Sports Game of the Year, including the recently released Alaska update and all online modes.

Experience dawn on the Matterhorn, wear salopettes at Les Chosalets, enjoy the incline of the Zweiselstein – but what you do on Mont Blanc is your own business.

So why not get a few online friends together and dive in for some snow-based shenanigans? The free weekend starts this Friday the 10th March, at 8:01am on Xbox One and 6pm on PS4 and PC – and closes on Monday 13th March at 7:59am on Xbox One, and 6pm on PS4 and PC.

But what will you do when it closes? What if Steep turns out to be the Winter Sports Holiday you never want to end? Well, one option would be to buy the game at a vast discount and carry your progress over: brace yourself for an avalanche of numbers. From the 10th to the 21st of March, the Xbox Live store will be selling Steep’s Standard Edition with 50% off, and the Gold Edition (containing the Season Pass) with 40% off. On PSN the Standard and Gold Editions will both be 44% off until March 15th. Likewise, Ubisoft Store will be selling the PC versions of Steep’s Standard and Gold editions at a 40% discount until the 15th. Got it? Good.
