Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – Evie Frye In Action

Evie Frye may be stealthier than her brother Jacob, but that doesn’t mean she’s any less brutal. In fact, judging by the new Assassin’s Creed Syndicate trailer on display at Sony’s E3 press conference, she may be even more vicious in combat than her impetuous twin. Where Jacob’s big reveal trailer showed him in a straightforward battle, Evie unhesitatingly stabs her way through Templar stooges, hurling them into furnaces and industrial presses before they even realize what’s happening.

And that’s just the beginning. Evie’s stealth kills are followed up by lightning-fast attacks with her cane-sword – a weapon with a scythe-like secondary blade that makes it just as deadly in its “sheath” as out of it – and deft use of throwing knives, which can also be used to distract enemies who haven’t spotted her. The fight (if you can call such a one-sided slaughter a “fight”) is over almost as quickly as it begins, leaving us hungry for more. October 23 has never seemed so far away.
