Release date — October 29, 2013
Developer — Ubisoft Montreal
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag tells the story of Edward Kenway, a young British man with a thirst for danger and adventure, who falls from privateering for the Royal Navy into piracy as the war between the major Empires comes to an end. Edward is a fierce pirate and seasoned fighter who soon finds himself embroiled in the ancient war between Assassins and Templars. Set at the dawn of the 18th Century, the game features some of the most infamous pirates in history, such as Blackbeard and Charles Vane, and takes players on a journey throughout the West Indies during a turbulent and violent period of time later to become known as the Golden Age of Pirates.

This post says the pack costs $7, but in the PSN Store on PS4 the price is $9.99.

I'm interested in getting the season pass but wanted to know if I purchase it does it come with BOTH new DLC's Freedom Cry and the Illustrious Pirate? Also are the other DLC's listed in the PS Store on PS4 available for free to Season Pass holders. Thanks.
    • Aly Edge on January 7, 2014
Yeah it has those, more customisation options for the ship, and a bunch of multiplayer hooha.
      • bejammin on January 7, 2014
thanks. I'm not much on MP stuff but wanted more items/"to do's" in SP. My guess from what you're saying the season pass is worth getting instead of buying the two DLC's individually.
        • Aly Edge on January 7, 2014
If Illustrious Pirates is actually $7, then it's cheaper to get the two of them individually. If it's $10, like it currently is in the store (at least on PS4), then it's the same.
    • Crossboneee on January 8, 2014
Yes you get both and other things too go on the additional content screen and it will tell you which ones come free with season pass :)

I'm constantly inspired by your games Especially Assassins Creed! I'm trying to get into concept/game art. Do you have any advice?
  4. Harley on January 7, 2014
What about the Aveline Figurehead for North America? I want it so bad.
  5. Marian Aleksiev on January 7, 2014
I have ac4 special edition for pc and i bought the season pass also, but why i can't see the black island and mistery's island missions, it's onley available the sacrifice island from my special edition bonus. i'm already 99% syncronization complete game what is wrong?
    • stetsonaw on January 8, 2014
Make sure you download the DLC to activate it.

  7. patrick on January 8, 2014
can you just fix the community challenges and white whales royal convoy social chest ect
  8. Wallace on January 8, 2014
And the aveline DCL on PS3?
    • Aly Edge on January 8, 2014
There's a code on the inside of the boxart. Not the most obvious place, but it is there.
      • Carcharodon on January 8, 2014
What about the figurehead? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants that awesome Aveline figurehead for their ship. When will they release it in North America. Please don't tell me they're ripping us off by only releasing it in Europe, like they did with the Mysteries of the Bayou pack for Assassin's Creed III: Liberation.

So the matched golden swords are the only pre-order bonus that isn't included in this pack, or this this an error on your part?I would also recommend to stop spread the information that there there is an actual mission tied which each of the three islands, because in truth there isn't. Instead it's just another place to find chests ond most of them just contain the described items.
    • Carcharodon on January 8, 2014
What about the iron wheel? Is it included? And the other content from Captain Kenway's Legacy?
      • Carcharodon on January 8, 2014
Oh wait, I see it listed in the pack, nevermind. Anyone know if the Aveline Figurehead is also included. I think its a rip off that they haven't released it in North America yet. European Playstation + members get an exclusive DLC for an Assassin's Creed Game, and what do we get? Dyad, a game that makes you feel like you're tripping on acid. If I wanted to know what that felt like, I'd become one of those pathetic druggies.

Hmm, I got the DLC on Xbox 360 through my Season Pass, and I would like to know what is that Digital Illustrated Fable that is included in Sacrifice Island?
  11. Alex on January 8, 2014
Where do you find all of these items? I've got the stuff on the islands and one extra treasure chest in Florida but where is everything else? Also how do you look at the illustrated fable?
  12. Fynriel on January 8, 2014
So every retailer dlc EXCEPT Captain Kennway's Legacy?
  13. anonymous123 on January 9, 2014
Im sorry im new to this and not sure how it works.I understand as soon as you buy the season pass, you get a code to access the DLCs. Do I have to pay again to download them? And when downloading, do I have to be in the US to download them? Im currently in the US but will be out of the country for a while, so was planning to download them outside of the country. Will that work? And lastly, does anyone know if the season pass includes all the DLC packs originally included in the retailer pre-order games? (example: Black Island, Hidden Mystery and Sacrificed Secrets pack)Thanks so much

I see alot of questions here and none of them being answered by UBI? I have alot of the same questions, specifically why it is so difficult to find these "unlocks" in game. I found Capt Morgans outfit by completing the Black Island mission. I just happened to have the Black Ship additions automatically. I haven't found the outfits or ship additions besides those and can only ASSUME that they may be unlocked when completing these island missions????
    • FlyingTitan on January 20, 2014
The items are scattered across the map in places such as Nassau and random small islands, they only appear on your map as golden chests called 'ULC' chests when you are close or in that place.

I activated the code on my ps3 about the 3 solo missions(black island, Hidden mistery and sacrificed secrets) but it only downloaded "gold", "silver", and sorts. But in the cover of the game's case it said that these three are already included in the game (day 1 edition).... It didn't downloaded the actual dlc..any advice?.
  16. FlyingTitan on January 20, 2014
Not sure if it's because I'm in the UK but now I've found the 'iron' wheel it's actually called the silver wheel.
  17. Giovanni on January 21, 2014
